Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander,” Ikenga Gburugburu of the Ohafia Ancient Kingdom, Calls for Abians to Remain Vigilant Against Political Blackmail
Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor, “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu of the Ohafia Ancient Kingdom) , has strongly condemned the continued blackmail attempts by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu against Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR. He has called on the people of Abia to remain vigilant as Senator Kalu persists in spreading falsehoods aimed at undermining the achievements of Governor Otti.
In a recent appearance on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily program, Senator Kalu, who represents Abia North Senatorial Zone, made a series of baseless claims regarding the developmental strides under Governor Otti’s leadership. One of the most egregious falsehoods was Kalu’s assertion that Aba, the commercial capital of Abia, suffers from an ongoing power crisis. This is an outright misrepresentation of reality, as Aba has enjoyed uninterrupted power supply for over a year now—a feat achieved under Governor Otti’s administration.
“It is a shameful distortion of the truth for Senator Kalu to claim that there is no power in Aba,” Ambassador Offor stated. “This falsehood insults the people of Aba, who have witnessed firsthand the remarkable progress in the power sector thanks to Governor Otti’s leadership. Kalu’s attempt to rewrite the history of Aba’s power supply for political gain is not only misleading but a clear attempt to discredit the transformative work Governor Otti has done.”
Furthermore, Ambassador Offor took aim at Senator Kalu’s claims regarding the Geometric Power Project. Kalu falsely asserted that he initiated the project and deserves credit for its success. However, Ambassador Offor was quick to point out that despite Kalu’s tenure as Governor of Abia State, the Geometric Power Plant was never completed, leaving the project dormant for years.
“Senator Kalu had eight years as governor and yet failed to complete or bring to fruition the Geometric Power Plant—a project that had been promised for years,” Offor said. “It was Governor Alex Otti who, with vision and courage, turned this long-delayed project into a reality. For Kalu to now shamelessly take credit for something he could not deliver is an insult to the intelligence of the good people of Abia State.”
Ambassador Offor also addressed Kalu’s misleading claims about infrastructure projects, such as the Asaga-Ndi Ibe-Amuma-Amangwu Road. While Kalu claims credit for these roads as constituency projects, Offor noted that these roads, constructed during Kalu’s tenure as governor, have deteriorated over the years, further highlighting the lack of effective leadership during Kalu’s time in office.
“Senator Kalu’s tenure was marked by stagnation and missed opportunities,” Offor said. “The roads he touts as his achievements have not stood the test of time, and he continues to mislead the public into believing that his leadership made a lasting impact on Abia. His attempts to rewrite history and claim credit for projects he failed to deliver is nothing more than a smokescreen for his own political failures.”
Ambassador Offor reaffirmed that Governor Otti’s administration represents a new chapter for Abia State, one focused on accountability, sustainable development, and improving the lives of all Abians. He urged the people of Abia to stay focused on the real progress being made under Governor Otti’s leadership, despite Kalu’s desperate attempts to create division.
“As we approach the 2027 elections, I urge Senator Kalu to stop his campaign of blackmail and deceit,” Offor said. “The people of Abia have made their choice. They have embraced change, and they will not be swayed by the lies and manipulations of those who failed them in the past. It is time for Kalu to step aside and allow true leaders like Governor Otti to continue their work for the betterment of Abia.”
Offor concluded by reaffirming that Governor Otti’s administration is an embodiment of progress, integrity, and dedication to the people. “Senator Kalu’s attempts to undermine the progress of Governor Otti will fail,” he said. “The people of Abia know the truth, and they will not be deceived by the lies of someone who failed to deliver during his time in office.”
